Format Purification: Protein G-purified
Description Immunogen: 6-His fusion protein containing the region encoding aa 1-153 of human estrogen receptor-beta (ER-beta) expressed in E. coli.Reactivity: This antibody recognizes human ER-beta, a novel receptor (approx. 52 kD) recently isolated from testis. The size and structure of ER-beta are very similar to ER-alpha with the ligand and DNA binding domains being highly conserved. The N-terminus of each receptor, which serves as their transactivation domain, are significantly different. Like ER-alpha, ER-beta binds to estrogen with a high affinity and regulates estrogen-specific gene activation through direct interaction with estrogen response elements.Buffer: PBSStorage: Estrogen Receptor beta monoclonal antibody can be stored at 4ºC, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
